Celeb Fame Academy student roll-call

The Comic Relief Does Fame Academy celebritiesThe nine students up for making a song and dance (and a laugh) at Celebrity Fame Academy towers are out of the bag.

They are Jo Brand, The Saturday Show's Fearne Cotton, Ulrika Johnsson, Kwame Kwei-Armah and Will Mellor (both from Casualty), Paul Ross, John Cold Feet Thompson, Ruby Wax and a mystery student to be named later.

However only eight of them will enter the house of fun - viewers will chuck one celeb on the show's opening night.

The stars will move in to the £35 million Fame Academy house in Highgate Village, North London on Friday 7th March where they'll be watched day and night.

In the specially built gym and recording studio the students will attend dance classes, fitness training and singing lessons. Hypnotist Paul McKenna is on hand to help deal with stage fright.

Audley Harrison (who hob-nobbed with French and Saunders in Delia's Chocolate C'hunks for Red Nose Day 2001) and Laurence Dallaglio take charge of two special training sessions. Plus musical mainbrain Andrew Lloyd Webber drops in to mastermind a group performance. The all-important hair is handled by Nicky Clarke.

Each day for a week the worst three performers, as decided by their tutors, will face eviction. One will be saved by a viewer vote. Of the two who remain, the other students will decide who should be flung.

By Red Nose Day (14th March) their number will be whittled down to two, who will face off in the grand final.
